From the desk of Eli Pollard, Executive Director, World Parkinson Coalition:
Dear friends,
I am emailing you today to let you know about a special Poetry and Parkinson’s event that is taking place this week. As some of you participated in the WPC Haiku Competition* leading up to the WPC 2019, I thought you might be interested in joining this evening screening of the documentary “Hal & Minter”.
The WPC is teaming up with the Bellevue Literary Review (AKA BLR) to show this wonderful document about Hal Sirowitz. Hal is BLR’s most published poet, who has a very unique sense of humor and also lives with Parkinson’s. It’s a beautiful film and we’ll have a live meet and greet afterward with the creative team behind the film.
Any donations made during the registration period will be split evenly between the WPC and the BLR, but if you are not in a position to offer a donation, just “clear away” the amount and register for free. We would love to have you join us.
Please kindly register yourself for this special Poetry & Parkinson’s event, so that you can get the link. Even if you aren’t free on Wed at 7 pm EDT, you’ll be able to watch it later. We’ll send an update to all registrants afterward.
Thank you.
Eli
