What: Ping Pong Tournament for People with Parkinson’s Disease
When: Saturday, February 17, 12:00 noon
Where: Westchester Table Tennis Center (175 Tompkins Ave., Pleasantville, NY 10570) – easily accessible by train from Grand Central Station in New York City. (See directions below for the train and for driving by car!)
Who: Open to everyone who has Parkinson’s, at every level of ability in ping pong. Hosted by Will Shortz (puzzle editor for the New York Times and NPR – on the left in the picture above) and Nenad Bach (musician who has PD – on the right). You can enroll at the event.
Why: To have fun, challenge ourselves, and learn/reinforce new physical and mental skills

Here are directions to Pleasantville, if you are taking a train from New York City’s Grand Central Station:
- Take MetroNorth to Pleasantville (47 minutes from Grand Central Terminal)
- Exit the rear (south end) of the train
- Climb the steps to Bedford Road
- Turn left (east); walk 1-1/2 blocks to Tompkins Ave.
- Turn right (south); walk 2 blocks to Vermilyea St.
- Address: 175 Tompkins Ave. (entrance on Vermilyea)
