I saw my neurologist yesterday and showed her my recent “Sinemet Hunger Game” post. She laughed at the title, said I ate healthy foods, then went about calibrating a new drug regimen for me.
Here’s the new weekday schedule. It includes all my meds, even the ones I take at night, one of which is prescribed by my regular doctor:
Morning
R = Ropinerole 0.5 mg; S = Sinemet 25/100; A = Amantadine 100 mg
4:15 –> Wake up. Slather on 4 pumps of Androgel.
4:30 –> Take R (3 tabs), S (2 tabs), A (1 tab). Also 1 tab of Bystolic (5 mg) to lower blood pressure.
5:15 –> Eat breakfast.
5:45 –> Leave home for school.
7:30 –> Take S (1.5 tabs).
10:30 –> Take R (3 tabs), S (1.5 tabs), A (1 tab).
11:15 –> Eat lunch.
Afternoon
1:00 –> Take R (3 tabs), S (1 tab).
3:30 –> Take S (1 tab). Leave school.
6:00 –> Take S (1 tab) (if I need it…).
8:30 –> Go to bed. Take Clonazepam 1 mg (1 tab), Nortriptyline 50 mg (1 tab), Simvastatin 20 mg (1 tab)
I’ll return to this post after a week or so on the new regimen, to report how I’m doing.
