In celebration of all things sunny, Parking Suns features every Sunday a different YouTube music clip about the sun!
This week’s entry: Bette Midler singing “Sunrise Sunset” from the play Fiddler on the Roof. See below for why!
I’m posting this song partly because of the bittersweet feelings I’m having now that the World Parkinson Congress is over.
But mostly, I selected this song in honor of my World Parkinson Congress Buddy, Geoffrey Webb, and his husband, Donald Beck. Both had long and fabulous careers in the performing arts, and appeared together in Fiddler!
Here they are in their Fiddler outfits:
Here we are once again at the opening ceremony of the World Parkinson Congress:
They live in Palm Springs. Two friends of theirs, married couple Kevin Mason and Dan Carlentine, were also at the Congress. We hung out quite a bit; together I felt we should be nicknamed Party Boys @ WPC!
Now everyone is back at home, relaxing from the overwhelming, unbelievable week in Portland.
Thank you, WPC, for matching me up with Geoffrey and Donald in the months leading up to the Congress! It was an amazing experience getting to know them.

Enjoy your week!
