I guess you can pronounce “Live!” in my title above however you wish…
The famous Mark Morris Dance Group teaches online dance classes for people with Parkinson’s. Click here and find out when the next session will be (and/or click here). Then log on, clear some space around you, and have fun!
The lesson I participated in on April 27 began with everyone sitting in chairs, doing stretching and other warm-up exercises to music. Eventually the lesson got people out of the chairs if they were able, although plenty of folks continued to dance while sitting.
Here’s some cut-and-paste from their email invite for the session I logged on to:

Thanks to Sonja and Nancy, who live in Brooklyn, my former home. I was at the Parkinson’s Unity Walk in Central Park recently, where I met them at the World Parkinson Congress tent. When they said they were from Brooklyn, I blurted out that they were lucky because of the Mark Morris dance classes for Parkies that take place there. They kindly sent me the above info.
See you next time!
