Parky’s Christmas in Maine!
Parky’s never been to Maine before! And now he’s going there to meet some of Bruce’s relatives and celebrate Christmas. During the long drive on the highway, Parky looks out the window and contemplates what will happen! Maybe he’s half apprehensive???
He needn’t worry! The weather is warm, and so are the people! And look – he’s staying on the corner of Harraseeket Road and…PARK STREET! All right!
Some of the neighborhood stuffed animals drop by to welcome him!
And so does this metal beaver lawn ornament! Wow!
Here’s Bruce’s family on Christmas morning. In front are Yong Ih and Annie (who’s holding Rocket the cat). In back are Bruce, Claire (holding Parky), Harriet and Brook. Parky’s accepted as one of the family.
Annie and Claire have a special present for Parky. What could it be? (BTW, that’s Skipper the dog in the middle.)
They open it slowly. What could it be? WHAT COULD IT BE???
OMG! It’s a fur-lined portable lounge chair! Parky loves it!
He tries it out immediately…
…and everywhere for the rest of the day! Under the Christmas tree among the remaining presents!
On the kitchen counter next to cranberry-pumpkin muffins decorated with a forest animal motif!
And later, out on the deck, overlooking the Harraseeket River, with Casco Bay beyond that and farther off, the Atlantic Ocean.
Wow! What a Christmas! Parky contemplates his wonderful day, under the gentle rays of a Parking Sun!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Remember, you can buy your own Parky, the official WPC mascot, here! All profits go to the WPC Travel Grants Program to enable a junior researcher or person with Parkinson’s disease to attend the World Parkinson Congress 2016 in Portland!
That’s Portland, Oregon!
Thanks for sharing photos of your family Christmas. What a beautiful spot in Maine!
