Parky spent the afternoon basking in the sun on Portland, Maine’s, rugged coastline, pondering the striations in the rocks (were they scored during the last glacial epoch?), and thinking ahead to the World Parkinson Congress, which will be held in America’s other Portland, on continental America’s western coastline.
What happened eons ago to create Maine’s beautiful shore? What will happen at the World Parkinson Congress in September?
Thankfully, it was a delightfully warm day, so Parky spent a long time outdoors to mull these thoughts over before heading on to other activities!
Remember, you can buy your own Parky, the official WPC mascot, here! All profits go to the WPC Travel Grants Program to enable a junior researcher or person with Parkinson’s disease to attend the World Parkinson Congress 2016 in Portland!
That’s Portland, Oregon!
Wow, your Parky’s traveling in some beautiful country. Thanks for sharing your Maine Christmas. Time to take my Parky out for some photos!
Great photograph!
Everything’s on an oblique angle, even the horizon!
