Yet another authority encourages people with Parkinson’s disease to exercise as a way to slow PD’s progression.
Johns Hopkins’ website has a short article titled “Living with Parkinson’s: 5 Ways to Stay Healthier.”
While the English teacher in me cocks an eyebrow at the word healthier (healthier than what?), there’s this choice quote:
Johns Hopkins Parkinson’s disease expert Zoltan Mari, M.D. says, “It is possible [exercise] can reduce the risk of Parkinson’s disease and it is even more possible it can slow down the progression of the disease. [This] is the subject of intense speculation and research.”
The article lists five “stays”:
- Stay active.
- Stay connected.
- Stay focused.
- Stay positive.
- Stay tuned.
So read it, and have a nice stay (= a nice day)!

Good to hear. Again!!!
