The New York Times just confirmed my earlier post about coffee staving off Parkinson’s disease.
“The most recent meta-analyses on neurological disorders found that coffee intake was associated with lower risks of Parkinson’s disease, lower cognitive decline and a potential protective effect against Alzheimer’s disease ….”
In a follow-up letter, the author made two additional points:
1. Decaf doesn’t cut the mustard.
2. Black tea does.
“People who drank more tea had a lower risk of Parkinson’s disease and of cognitive decline.”
So sit down and discuss over a cuppa joe or black tea. And think brilliant thoughts. Stunning, smashing, brilliant thoughts.
P.S. I still don’t get why America serves mostly lousy coffee. Dunkin’ Donuts says, “America Runs On Dunkin’.” I want to change the slogan to “America Runs From Dunkin’.” Agreed?
